I’ve been to the Green Bay museum, great place , good variety of equipment. The open air building has lots of equipment thats still in good shape. Wish I had more time when I was there!
It should be noted the IRM dyno is operational. Doesn’t look all that great (they’re working on that) but it works!
I’m glad another dynamometer car is being restored, and I hope the recording table can be restored to operation. Seeing powerful locomotive forces transmitted directly to delicate recording pens and gauge needles by nothing but levers and pivots–the locomotive itself directly pushing and pulling on the pens and needles–makes measurement a lot more concrete and accessible than having measurements magically appear from an electronic device with few or no moving parts.

Hi I was just at this museum back in August in 2013, too bad I missed out on it being open to the public, when I Was there it was all sliver/white with its undercoat paint. It sure looks nice now.
