Sorry for the slightly off-topic post but I thought this would get the most attention here as it involves the MR part of the forum.
I have sent 3 e-mails to 3 different people in the last few days using the e-mail button at the bottom of posts.
Two of these were around the IHC 2-10-2, one was about dog treats (don’t ask [:D] ). I was expecting a reply from one and would not have been surprised by a reply from the other two. So far, nothing back.
Is anyone else having issues with the forums e-mail function or am I just not waiting long enough?
[:I] Umm…I got mine. Sorry I didn’t reply. Thanks for sending the info. Sometimes peoples spam blockers will reject an E-mail when it comes through MR’s mail system. I’ve had this happen a few times. I found the PM button works better.(thanks again!)
Thanks, good to know. And yours was not the one I was expecting a reply on so no biggie. I use GMail and it does not catch any of the MR stuff as spam.
That’s what I am thinking, I just need to wait a bit more. And I do not always reply quickly either, bad me [:I]
I had Earthlink, until they became Embarq. I finally gave up on them as my ISP, because they were installing new email servers and over a period of 2 weeks, I could only access my emails twice. One way to check to see if the email button is working is to post something, then go to your post and click on the email button and send something to yourself. And I had given up on the Earthlink email program because it was so slow; been using Outlook ever since. [:)] AND with Outlook, you can add the junk mail to a junk mail list; you’ll still get the emails, but they go right to the “Deleted” folder.
I never used the Earthlink e-mail software, even though I have had them as my ISP for 5+ years.
I have always used Outlook Express, and haven’t had much of a problem - occasionaly once in a great while, I wouldn’t be able to access my e-mail, exactly when I wanted to, but, neven for more than an hour or two.
Pathfinder, maybe start a fresh post/thread and ask him to contact you. Explain your situation, and if he sees it, I’m sure he’ll respond. Sometimes it works better to raise a flag.
