E-mail notifications overload

I was wondering about it, but I just had to disable the email notifications as I received 145 emails from the forum telling me the replies to my posts inless than the last 24 hours!

I don’t consider it a 'bug", as editing your profile will turn up the ability to disable that. I had it disabled though on the previous forum, though so I wasn’t overloaded with all the reply notifications like I was all at once today! Boom! and they were there!

{Now I will have to see if that box appears at the end of every post for being notified for each time I post. I see it below here, but do I have to deselect it each time I post I wonder?}

Seems as if you have to disable the e-mail notification by clicking on the box below your post, before posting it. I keep on receiving this notification for one reply - it is definitively a nuisance!

If you disable email notifications in your preferences, the little box and the choice goes away…

Can you help out a dummy? Which specific setting do I change? (Yes- I am that dense.)

Receive E-mail (When disabled ALL e-mails are turned off, including notifications)

Receive HTML E-mail (For email clients that support rich (HTML) email)

Send notifications (When disabled notfications are not received for subscribed content)

Set Send Notifications to no. That turns it off.
