Have pics now and my Tramp arrived
Two questions:
How do I post pics from photo-bucket so they show up?
and I think my crane has the same connectors as Marklin - Anyone know where I should research?
Thanks Chris
Hi Chris:
Use the ‘Search Our Community’ search engine on the right of this page for ‘How to post pictures to a thread’ in ‘Model Railroader Forums’.
Dave
Anyone know what I need too power this - Marklin 6627 transformer? Thanks
Hi,
found another version of it on Ebay from France and it had a picture of what it can do and the power requirements. It said that it requires 14 to 16 volt AC and draws up to 1.5 amp.
Hope it helps
Frank
OK Think I got it
That’s pretty cool, are you planning on integrating it into your operations? Are you going to load / unload containers and such?
John
Thanks for the info - Would you know what company would have this transformer(120vUS) and I’ve got to find the time to search myself[sn]
My dock scene is going to be: Walther’s crane and pier plus extension. Aqua color
AHM gantry cranes(4):cargo loading/unloading. Black dotted circles
Old Tyco 30t cranes converted to clam-shell: coal unloading : red object
Walther’s tugs and carfloats, plus coal barges, and Sylvan Great Lake and ore freighters on movable tables.
Have 99.9% bought and waiting to start remodel of basement.
Also have Walther’s Bascule,Swing and 4 Tyco draw briges that I’m going to try to motorize???
Still trying to figure out cadrail to .jpg right

Would this “do” to power the crane?
Amseco® XR-1650LED Transformer

OUTPUT: 16.5VAC 50VA

Hi,
yes I would use it to power the crane. It is AC, and has a capacity of 50VA/16.5VAC=3 amp. Plenty of power for the crane.
Hope it helps
Frank
