East Coast transit agencies on alert after Boston explosions
Far better safe than sorry. My guess is that the perpetrator(s) of this heinous act was looking to impact an event that enjoyed widespread media coverage, rather than a random location. Still, transit has been a target at other times and places so there’s really little choice about ramping up security, even if no specific threats exist.
