Easy backdrop for camera..?

What would make an easy to set up, camera backdrop to shoot a pic off layout Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket(lense pointing to the outside of layout) and not have a mess such as above to look at. Needs to be simple, quick to set up, and adjustable for a two level layout.

A piece of light blue foam core board or poster board. Dow blue foam insulation could work too.

That sounds like it will work. Now thinking a spring clamp to the facia itself, to hold the foam board. I like it, sounds like its another kiss method to me, keep it simpley simple…Thanks…John

Here’s some before-and-after pics I took shortly after I tried it on my own layout:

I have a single 2x3 foot sheet of white foam board which I got at a craft store for a couple of dollars. I liberated some blue paint from my wife’s supply, and applied it lightly over the white board. I just move this around the layout for photos. I have a free-standing table layout, so I really can’t use a backdrop.

I was talking with a guy who has had several of his pictures in MR. He uses a large backdrop like MB and he also has several pieces of foam with trees mounted on them that he sets between the shot and the fake backdrop.

The advantage to a solid color backdrop is that it’s then very easy to add your own background in photoshop.

Quite true! Plus, I never have to worry about the same cloud pattern appearing in 2 different scenes.

I used 2’x4’ sheets of 1/8" masonite painted blue. They will be permanant, but they’re just held in with clamps for right now. 4’x8’ sheets only $10.

Taking a bit from each of you guys and I knowenly will have what I need, a quick easy to install camera backboard. Again Thanks…John
