I hooked up the wires in Variation A (no diodes) but added bi-color LED’s from post #1 on the tortoise. I rechecked the wiring a number of times for accuracy and could not find any problems. Route selector #2 and #3: (switches B & C) work properly with the appropriate colors on the LED’s. The LED’s for A & D do not light at all. Route selector #1: only the LED’s for switches B & C operate properly while the LED’s for switches A & D do not light and switch A does to operate. Route selector #4: no switches operate and only LED’s A & B operate. Route 5: No switches operate and no LED’s light. The tortoises all are in operating condition and all the LED’s can show red or green.
