I was the top bidder on two built-up Westerfield box cars listed on ebay. End of bidding was this afternoon. I confirmed this a couple of hours ago before bidding was over. But just now I checked and the listings are gone and ebay shows I’m not bidding on anything. Bummer.
Look on the bright side, you wont’ have to hassle with paypal and the Indian call center. It must be your lucky day.
Well, I’m assuming yo’ve tried this, but do you still have the links to the bidding pages in your history?
Nope. Any reference or links are gone without a trace (leastwise at my end), as if they never happened. I sent a query to eBay. My presumption is the seller withdrew the items from sale. I’d have appreciated an explanation from the seller, whoever he is as I’ve no longer a record.

On a slightly different e-bay note, today starts the new beta e-bay, and half of my searches were wiped out. I imagine sellers won’t stand for this for long.
