I’ve used personal checks, bank checks, postal money orders and yes even PayPal. As noted by other forum members you will have to wait for personal checks to clear-not an unreasonable requirement.If you check the seller’s feedback(number of sales and ratings on those sales) you usually don’t have any problems. Obviously you have to provide the payment the seller will accept. Made more purchases of model railroad stuff on eBay than I should have(kid in a candy store syndrome) with no unresolveable problems.
