EBT Restoration Pic of the Week

All work and no play makes restoration workers dull boys (and girls).

The Friends of the EBT work crew is the most functional (in difference to
dysfunctional) railroad group I have ever had the privilege to work with.
They can both rip through a large project with vigor or lay back and make a
joke about how “standard gauge” trains just aren’t proportioned right.

In 50 years the FEBT name may well reappear on this hopper, forcing
restoration crews of the era to “recreate an historic attribute”. Although a
bit of lightheartedness in a tough rehabilitation process, this message also
reminds us that volunteer work is supposed to be enjoyable at the end of the
day. Come join us for a day or a weekend and help preserve America’s oldest
narrow gauge.

Nice pic, ebtrr1. The EBT is my favorite rr and I’m planning a freelanced model layout based on it. I live not too far from Rock Hill in Perry County and find the FEBT web site one of the most reliable for info of what’s happening. I plan on being there this weekend for the start of the season for the EBT.

I’ll be there too, working on the restoration crew. I’ll be the crew cheif working on the Machine Shop north wall. Look me up.

No prob, Chris, I was told you were “out to lunch” so started my usual snooping around the place. I always seem to find something I didn’t notice before when I go there. I bought a ticket to ride the train when #14 is running again so I’ll most likely be there that weekend.
