Editor Carl Swanson previews the March issue

Carl, I keep looking forward to my next issue, that’s why I just signed for three more years.

Ouystanding topics!!!

Hey Carl maybe you can have someone explain how you can get all 126 track plans. I can’t seem to get but maybe one. Thanks in advance.

Looking forward to the next issue as usual!Keep up the GOOD WORK!

Really enjoyed the issue and look forward to the next. Just balance the overly lopsided balance of Lionel history coverage with other makers and it’s a nearly perfect publication.

I am always interested in Marx engines, cars, accessories, and layouts, especially from the beginning of Louis Marx’ genius. Do you publish any other periodical(s) that might include more Marx? Your December issue lifted up two Marx layouts.
Keep up the outstanding work and real neat videos of layouts.

Carl - I had sent a note a few weeks ago after I had received the March issue. My comments were centered on the perception that the magazine should better be titled “Classic Lionel Trains”. It was very difficult, if not impossible, to find any reference to American Flyer or S gauge. Also, I asked why there is no coverage for pre-war model trains ? Lionel and American Flyer both created great O gauge trains during that period and I would describe them as “classic”.

Yes, I am an American Flyer collector. Hard to subscribe to Classic Lionel Trains.

David

As always another great issue. I really liked the articles on the
top 10 space and military trains and the sets packed with a accessory.
keep up the good work.

And where is the 3519 satellite Launching Car? By far one of the best flying operating cars Lionel made

Also as to the heliport Last year I purchased one of e bay that was part of a lot which included a great northern rectifier super o track and the 415 control tower. In addition to the pleasant surprise of having the box with it(the other stuff did not and did not know the box would be included) the copter was undamaged assuming it is/was original and here’s the "point’

Will have to post pic once I get it out of storage but the tail fins on the copter rear section are bent straight up shaping like a letter l forwards and backwards not straight out

The copter is all yellow and it did not seem to be altered in any way

I have never seen a copter repro or otherwise like this

any thoughts?

I am interested in S gauge American Flyer trains, in the process of rebuilding an early 1950’s model.

I will probably cancel my subscription if you don’t show more interest in American Flyer trains. Tired of reading only about Lionel.

The “scene divider” would look a lot classier if it went to the end of the table and the track went through a tunnel.
Second, being a ‘Marx man’ more articles about the reliable trains would be very nice.
Nice magazine, keep up the good work.
