Once again, awesome work! Terry Thompson on repairing a turbine, Kent Johnson on painting a backdrop, and a visit to 3 of the finest layouts in America really excites me.
Kent Johnson’s backdrop idea was very inspiring. A good backdrop does add a sense of depth and perspective to a layout. Are Walther’s backdrops, or others, able to be butted together end to end, like wallpaper, to cover a large area? I’d like to cover about 30 feet.
Very good vidio , realy nice layout
the articles very interesting on how to add on and bauetify your layout, liked the rebuilding of the 682 turbine one of my favorite engines tha loinel built
Why didn’t you mention the article on Marx gondolas? Seems like Marx has taken a back seat in CTT lately. Very few articles are written about Marx
Hi - From the Motor City. Like the post war tune ups. The great hi-rail did a lot in his space and the 4’ x 8’ “S Plan” is very cool for his space.
Nice article on tuning up a turbine. How lets get more of the service type articles to help keep the rolling stock going.
Wally’s Train World was a great addition to the September issue. The buildings and scenery look great. Seeing more S gauge at shows and Lionel’s separate catalog shows a resurgence in the “perfect” scale.
enjoyed preview as scale hirailer i will be looking for a copy
Sceniking backdrops are up to over 12 feet in length on any theme (e.g., downtown) and can be joined to other themes (e.g., suburban) for greater length. For information, go to www.sceniking.com.
The article on repairing the Lionel turbine and the previous article on rebuilding the older motors shows the durability of Lionel engines. Just think, if American automobiles were as durable, we would still be driving that 32 Ford coupe or 55 Chrysler!
Classic Toy Trains keeps getting better and better. Just like the hobby, there seems to be no end to great ideas and new information. Great job folks in the Sunshine State of Wisconsin!
cool
Classic Toy Trains, is the King of Fast Food, what does that mean. They are the King of 3 - Rails and S Gauge of the fast trains of the hobby. Also new fast ideas for all of us modelers. Keep bringing the great articles.
Enjoyed the video on the 4x8. A lot of bang for the buck. The tune up article coming up looks interesting & helpful. Keep up the awesome work. Model Railroading is not dead!! God Bless & Thanks Mike

Spot on. This proves to me I have been doing it correct for years. I have bought some very used steam engines and have brought them to back from very poor to good or better condition. I run all my eleven Postwar Steamers and whistle tenders every year and do a maintenance and/or lube before they hit the tracks. It is enjoyable to bring something back to life and keep it in good running condition.
current subscriber and cannot find more photos of Craig’s layout from the

I’am thinking about going digital but will i be able to store mags on flash drives for future use like i do my entire classic toy train magazines
