Egads, what a klutz!

Me, I mean.

I may have inadvertently made it impossible for anyone to see Chris’s (“CopcarSS”) post with his recent photography work by trying to incorporate some smilies into it. If the moderators can find this, and fix it, I’ll find a more palatable way to express my admiration and appreciation to him for these great shots. Meantime, please accept my apologies–this was by no means my intention!

Oh, Carl! [:D] At least you got something right–Railroader Emeritus (practicing railroading for 46 years–and I finally got it right!)[:)]

Gee, hard to blame a guy for being in a good mood. [:-^]

Every time I try to open the thread, I get a page that says

" Sorry-Carl has inadvertantly made it impossible to see Chris’s (“CopcarSS”) post by trying to incorporate some smilies into it."

I don’t think it’s anything you did. The forum has popped up a few more little quirks recently. We’ll have to have the Kalmbach tech guys work that out.

Carl, my computer bad ju-ju strikes again. Guess I’ll wait for my next regular de-gaussing.

As of now (very early Thursday morning) an attempt to access that thread results in an “unhandled error” message.

Egads, you have blown up Kalmbach’s web site!

Yup,

That’s the Chicago way…

They send one of yours to the forum, you send one of theirs to the forum morgue…[:-^]

Hmmm…So, if a thread goes astray, rather than lock it, we can just ask Carl to smilie it to oblivion? [:-,]

We’re sending that thread to “sleep with the clowns”. [oX)]

I was doing something with the “thumbs-up” smiley. Guess it just showed who’s all thumbs!

Ed, ya better watch it wit remarks like dose…somebody might start lookin’ you up in Whackopedia, 'cuz ya know too much!

We seem to get all kinds of “benefits” each time this format is changed…

Quentin:

I think the current term is,

" UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES!"

In the I.T. World, they refer to it as Glitches, and a really bad error with is a Fluke.

Soooo, as users we can occasionally expect to be fluked, and glitched without warning while utilizing a newly installed system.

[X-)][banghead]

Analogous to the story of the pig and the chicken. As referenced to Ham and Eggs.

In which the chicken is involved, and the pig is committed. [:-,][oX)]

I still can’t seem to get in there, so I’ll take the opportunity to thank you all for your comments here instead.

Thanks everybody!

[(-D][(-D]

Reading it doesn’t sound near as good as hearing it said with a Scottish accent.

Bruce

And I am still getting an error message on the thread in question as of this time.

Carl, I hope that you email Kalmbach Customer Service directly ASAP. The link and page titles are misleading, but they Do forward reports of website malfeasance to the right people …

Yeah, what we really need is a Sean Connery

smiley icon with sound…
