Love their products. Easy to install and work great. Do not take up a lot of room.
I’ve a basic (dumb!) question here. The cruse M is a speed control as well as a TMCC conversion?
I’m looking into a TMCC conversion in the near future and want to make sure I get the proper pieces.
Want sound, cruise and TMCC? Cruise Commander Combo.
Not a dumb question.
I assume you have a specific locomotive chosen for the conversion. If so, just send an email to ERR and explain to them that you would like to convert XXXX locomotive to TMCC with Cruise and Sound and would they be so kind to offer you their input as to what you should purchase.
I have just installed two ERR units in Williams engines and I must say it is very simple. Much easier than the TAS units I have encountered in the past. ERR units cruise is very good. The splices were completed using wire nuts.
Very nice Marty, and nice tour of the layout. What size are those curves?

Thanks guys…
The curves are all O54. I dream of bigger but this is all the room I got.[:(]
Great job, and loved the music. [tup]
MARTY,
Glad you like it. I too did this on my SP Atlantic a year ago. The SP was one of the first Odyssey Locos and with that came a bad lurch. I install the M cruise commander and viola no more lurching and runs at a crawl to very fast. Great product, next will be put into my Lionel Camelback.

Laz, I take it you also have one of those early Lionel TMCC camelbacks that only have two speeds, Stop & Go. When you get it done, let me know how it works out.
JOHN,
Yes as soon as I get some extra cash I will buy the ERR modual and try it in the Camelback. My Camelback I got from BARRYs a while back and yes it is fast forward and stop, no in between. I want to call ERR and see if it will work? But probably next month? I’ll let you know when I get it.

Hello Marty:
Great video! Can you tell us a little more about the installation? Was the Pacific all conventional previously? Does it have a can motor? How long did the installation take?
Regards,
John
Hello Laz:
I have recently been reading about these problems with Odyssey engines. When you install the M cruise commander do you have to uninstall the Odyssey components? How easy does the module into the engine? How long did installation take?
Thanks,
John
Hey John
Although I did not replace an oydssey setup, the install is basically the same. All the manuals are online at ERR company so you can see what you are in for. I had to solder 1 wire for my install, The board was a little bigger as well than the original so I had to enlarge 2 mounting holes to give me some wiggle room.
It was a 1 to 1 board swap pretty much. Time to install less than 45 minutes and that was milking it.
Hello Marty:
Thank you for the feedback. I will check out their website.
Regards,
John
JOHN,
As MARTY stated it was easy and had to solder only one wire. The SP Atlantic runs just great. The GYZ at ERR were very helpful while talking with them over the phone.
