Electric TRAINS

who has ever heard of the ICE
ITS a german train but its like the amtrack its fast and looks the same
tell me if you’ve ever heard of it

Yeah I have heard of the Ice train it runs in germany and back in 1998 it had it’s 1st derailment and as far as I know it was the only one that they ever had

I rode the ICE train when it was running on Amtrak.

The ICE train toured the United States when Amtrak was looking for trains that would help them create their later Acela trainsets. When no catenaries were over the tracks, diesel locomotives were coupled up to the front of the train. In fact, the locomotives used were the two F69PH-ACs built for Amtrak. They were specially painted for the ICE train tour (white with red stripes), and this was the last assignment for these engines.

The German Inter-City-Express.

Yeah, I’ve heard of it. Marklin has made, and still makes models of it. And great models they are.[:D]

ICE= Inter City Express in Germany.

I’ve never been to Germany but I’ve seen an ICE train at Arnhem in Holland. The German Railways (DB) regularly run there.

Much more interesting are the old Alco electric locos which the Dutch Railways (NS) used to use and which some of the Open Access operators there use. There’s also a preserved one owned by a group of Dutch enthusiasts called “Werkgroep 1501” which runs fan specials.

The ICE trains (about 150 in total of 3 different types) run most of the front-rank express passenger services in Germany, over a mixture of ‘classic’ and newly built high-speed lines, at up to 200mph.
