Hi everyone,

I need to find a “pod"or rotary switch for the speed control on my throttle. It’s very small, about 1” Long and 3/4" in diameter.




On the bottom it says ALPHA and 4A1 and B2
If anyone knows an online retailer or shop that carries these, please let me know.[:)]
by the way, this is for a digitrax DCS50, which I dropped. There seems to be a little plastic stop inside the knob, which keeps the knob from turning a whole 360 degrees. I glued it back on (which was a pain in the neck to do), but it works as a temporary fix.

That’s a “pot”, not a “pod”. Pot is short for potentiometer. Try Digi-Key. What you really need to know is the rating of that one to find a proper replacement.

The 2K may be 2000 ohms for the rating.

Have you tried contacting Digitrax?

I agree that you should contact Digitrax. So far, I’ve never needed their service, but I’ve heard they’re usually pretty good.

Yep, contact Digitrax, they really help their customers.

It’s a 2000 ohm pot. You can probably find one at radio shack. You can definately get one from Digi-key or any other electronics supply outlet.

The 24mm size would be about 7/8 in in dia. Make sure you buy the linear taper and NOT the audio taper. Part # 31VF301 may be the part you want. $1.25 each

sweet ! a $1.25 part and some time instead of a $42 repair and waiting who knows how long to get your zephyr back

i’m not complaining about digitrax’s repair time , in fact i hear they can be pretty fast at times . nor am i complainging about their repair rate , it’s just so much cheaper to do it yourself , and most of us have the skills to this type of repair work
