It’s not really appropriate to my prototype but it mght be fun. I have a soft spot for streamlined equipment and electrics, so the Electroliner is nice…I’ve just always hated the color scheme.
Much too specialized for me and a little pricey. But… for someone with a small freelanced road a way to add passenger service without E’s and 85’ passenger cars.
Well Con-Cor offered one two years ago and asked anyone interested to pre register
Not enough did to warrant making the train. Now they are offering a Pioneer Zephyr on similar terms
Dave Nelson.
Electroliner and North Shore may be rather specialized, but the North Shore was one unique line able to ride from milwaukee to chicago into the loop on the loop along with the CTA and CA&E.
Yes I rode it as a kid, and I would buy the electroliner.
I have been hunting down the model and its noweheres.
If a reasonably priced, beautiful model was produced of the Electroliner, I’d own one faster than you could cook an Electroburger! LONG-LIVE TRACTION!!!
Not my alley either, but it is SO COOL and a very historic train. If it was reasonable $$, as implied by plastic, I would buy it. Mike and I DO ocassionally collect HO in all kinds of eras and types if we like the train or car or loco. We bring our HO to other club members homes to run, cause we have no HO track…Doin’ On3, and next summer we hope to have our Lionel postwar layout started. Jennifer
