Electronic E Units - which is better ?

I am looking to upgrade some postwar Lionel engines to electronic e-units.

Can anyone tell me an advantage of using either the Dalle or QSI units ?

I would like the option of operating the trains in nuetral-forward-nuetral-reverse OR just nuetral-forward.

Is one unit better than the other for that ?

Thanks,
Jeff

I got a Dallee e-unit for my 2349. It was very simple to install and works great, and the instructions were easy to follow. I would recommend it to anyone. It works foward- neutral-reverse.

Dave

Dave,

Do you recall if the Dalle instructions tell you how to use a switch or jumper ot ‘lock’ a train in forward only ?

Jeff

Here is what the instructions say: " Provision is made so that a switch (not supplied) can be installed to lock the “E” unit in its initial state."

So you would need to get a switch. There is a spot on the e-unit to put in the switch. So I suppose Dallee sells it.

Any questions just let me know.
