electronic parts question for Bob Nelson

I have some electronic parts and am wondering what they can be used for?

Radial leads; 1.0 MF at 250 volts & 85 deg. C part # RE2-250V010MP2, Radial leads 1.0 MF at 100 volts part # RE2-100V010MP5, 10 MF at 50 volts 7mm HIGH Radial leads part # RC2-50V100MBP25, Radial leads 22 MF at 50 volts part # RE2-50V220MP4. All made by Atlantic Electronics Incorporated, WPB FL.

These parts almost look like miniture capaciters.

They certainly seem to be capacitors. I would just save them until a need came along.

sounds like some capacitors for sure but it should be uF not MF which would beMega farad which I doubt exists in electronics microfarads is uF small m is mille large M is mega, xtal is short for crystal xformer is short for tranformer…[#dots]

They seem to be rather high voltage capaciters, are the polarized(+ or - on one side of cap)?

I took out one of the 22MF 50 volt radial leads and it has the uF symbol on it, did not notice any polarization charactors on the small capacitor, like a plus or minus sign.

My wife’s first husband had this stuff before he died about three years ago.

Sorry about the electronic lesson I am suffering from a bad cold and medicin has me just a little bit loopy.

Can you post a photo of them, it is possible that they are non-polarized, capacitors come in many shapes and sizes and differnt materials.
