Elevation piers

I have a 4x16 layout with two loops (one over the other)around two 4x8 over-under figure-8s. My question is where can I find more of the eleavtion piers that I am using or ones like it from another manufacturer. To clarify… I am talking about the piers from a Life-Like “City Express” set.(As far as I know it is only availabe from QVC or Ebay). They are all approx 5 in wide and 3-1/4 in high and allow one track to run under another one. That way I run a passenger loop over a freight loop in the same space. Any/all help is apreciated Thank you.

Atlas makes a bridge pier and a set of pier risers. These are gray in color, and about the size you quoted. If you go to www.discounttrainsonline.com or www.walthers.com, you can search for “bridge piers” and find other options. The Atlas piers slide on to the ties from the end of a track section. The web sites show pictures.

Tadaaaaaa… Marlon to the rescue. I found the follwing link on the Life Like website:

This is the trestle set from Life Like like the one you already have. Hope this helps…

Sorry for not being more descriptive. I am refering to elevation piers in which the lower track goes through all of the piers. The upper track does not cross the lower track but is three inches above and on top of the lower track for the entire length. The piers are an upside-down U shape that go over the track. Thank you for your time and effort.

Do you have a camera, or a scanner? A picture would be a big help.

I think Zigg72md is referring to an elevated train (such as the ones that are in NY or Chicago (and other urban centers)); not to a bridge or overpass.

I can’t seem to find them at Walthers; but I may be searching for the wrong things.

These picures (if I did this right) should help. Just to be on the safe sidt I better mention that the first picture is courtesy of QVC Inc, Yes you are right chateauricher.
