Elgin Joliet and Eastern Boxcar

I am modelling an Eljin Joliet and Eastern 40ft wood boxcar, circa 1920 or thereabouts, the road number I have finishes with a C.T. at the end, what does this stand for, as the slogan on the right side of the door states CHICAGO OUTER BELTLINE, is the C.T. something like ‘Chicago Terminal’, would there be variations in the coding and would they have been restricted to non-interchange.

Hi Teditor
Sorry I don’t know the answer to your question, but you’re probably correct. Maybe the folks on the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Archive can help.
