I Emailed Walthers asking if there was going to be a rerun of the USRA 0-6-0 steamers and this is the reply I received.
Currently, we do not have plans to rerun the P2K 0-6-0 steamers. I will, however, pass on your suggestion to the proper people.

No offense, but what the heck were they supposed to say? I’d love to see a new 0-6-0 too. I’d like to see a HO Spectrum 2-6-0 Mogul too. The same answer you got is what everyone is getting on the Bachmann forum asking for the Mogul too. “Thanks for asking. I’ll pass it along”. Blah, blah, blah.
The difference between asking about a new run of P2K 0-6-0s and a small Spectrum steam engine (like a 2-6-0) is that the P2K 0-6-0s have already been in production, and the Spectrums don’t even exist. So for there to be another run of 0-6-0s, all Walthers would have to do is get out the already made tooling. For Bachmann to make that Spectrum 2-6-0, they’d have to develop brand new tooling.
Up until a couple of weeks ago there seemed to be a regular trail of P2K 0-6-0 locomotives being auctioned on eBay. If you need one and don’t mind a visit there then this could be a source from which to obtain one.
