I don’t know who or why buy I have been averaging over 400 emails a day from all train subjects, all I did was ask one question, clicked on the button to allow emaisl with the hope someone could help, well since that day last week i have been getting anywhere from 300 to 500 hundred e-mails a day this has to stop…I have contacted Model rairoader about it but they have done nothing… so if I do not stop getting this crap i will cancel all , the magazine the email news letter from them I am sure if anyone of you where in the same situation you also would be upset
Unclick the button to allow e-mails. I suspect, you have clicked the ‘master’ that puts the check into the ‘email me replies to this post’ box that appears with every post you make.
I asked the question of Trains but never got an answer. But I have learned by trial and error that what has happened is that anything posted in the forums which you normally open is automatically forwarded to you. Before, if you did not open and ask to have further replies sent to you, you would not get any more. Now, you will automatically continue to get replies and responses unless you click on the bottom left of the message to not get more. HOWEVER this is not automatic because you must open the thread and then close it in order for you to be successful at stopping it. I don’t know if that is the way it is supposed to be but it is how I stopped getting tons annnnnndddddd tons of stuff!
I got a problem with My Yahoo Mail Box is not working right, when i try to open the mail it go off line right way and box pops up too. it been doing that for the past few days. What should i do about it.[?]
How do i fix the problem?
My not having had to solve any problems with Yahoo mail leaves me with little to offer.
You say a box pops up. What is the content of that box? What does it say?
Have you tried to access the account from a different computer? That might tell you if the problem is some setting or corruption in a file in the computer you are using or something about your account itself.
I would assume it is something specific with the computer itself.
Are you using a browser to access the e-mail (IE-x, Chrome, etc.)? Or an e-mail specific program (Outlook, etc.)?
Have you cleared the Cache of the program you are using?
Or have you looked at any settings? It might be a file corruption that would be “fixed” if you open a setting menu and just make a minor alteration (or change something and then change it back) and Resave the settings to update the corrupted file.
Are you running an AntiMalware program? Is it up-to-date?
Yeah, that’s a lot of help, ain’t it? [:S]
At least I can infer that you are using some form of Internet Explorer to access your e-mail. Unfortunately, without knowing what version of IE you are using I cannot give you SPECIFIC instructions of things to TRY to see if we can fix your problem.
There are DOZENS of things that can affect how IE can get squirreled up and “stop working”. You might have an add-on program (such as an anti-malware program) that is causing a problem (probably due to a corrupt database), or there might be a database that Yahoo is accessing that is the problem.
I hate to just give shotgun suggestions as they often cause other consternation for the user, but at this point that is the best I can do. I’ll just warn you that following anything I write here now might make you wish you have been a bit more forthcomming with details about your computer system and what is happening.
It might cure the problem if you were to “clear the cache” of Internet Explorer, or to delete “Cookies”. The “consternation” that doing so might cause you is that sometimes doing so will delete Log-in IDs and Passwords stored in the cache or cookies that you might have forgotten and thus lock you out of websites that you visit. If you clear/delete these files and then go to a forum (like this one) and are no longer “logged-in” you will have to remember what your ID was and what the Password was, which can be a pain if you have not had to type them in yourself for a long time (I have been there and done that, myself!).
Depending on which verion of Internet Explorer you have, there are different instructions for how to do those things. See the following Indiana University Knowledge Base for instructions for several different versions of different browsers:
