It was just annouced that Catipillar is clsing the Canadian plant because the Union would not agree to a contract .
Congrats to our friends in the US… such is competition.
Seems like they were asking their employees to cut over 50% of their wages.
Caterpillar made over $4 Billion of profit last year !

It was apparently an antiquated contract that dosn’t fit Catipillar’s business model . The union gambled and lost !
They didn’t gamble, they simply rejected a 50% take it or leave it pay cut. Life goes on, those people will find other jobs…

Antiquated - it expected employees to be paid for their labors, not pay for the privilege of laboring.
If any American workers really think they will replace the Canucks, they better start learning to speak Spanish as it may be helpful in Mexico.
