This question may have been asked before but here goes.
I recently picked up a Emmett Kelly Jackson Sharpe coach and intended to add to it with the rest of the cars like the ones I saw on display in many of the gardens during the Arizona Convention. Bachmann now list them painted as Bachmann Brothers. Scouring the web, I see Kelly ones for ridiculous prices at auction. Does one assume that these cars are now discontinued in favour of an unauthentic livery? Does that mean I will have to mix and match my car with the Bachmann ones or go broke?
There never was an “Emmett Kelly Circus”, so that livery was fictitious to start with. He primarily performed with the Ringling Bros., Barnum and Bailey Circus (1942-56) and a few other circuses including Clyde Beattie’s prior to the RB&B. So, make up your own decals or labels and re-liver it!
