I found a station today that I had no idea was there! I took my wife to Emory University Hospital for some tests today, and decided to try to miss rush hour traffic on the way home. To my surprise, I turned the corner, and there was a train station!
It’s the Emory University Station, built in 1916 as a passenger and freight depot. It’s located along the CSX ROW next to the Emory Campus. It’s on lease from CSX, and is known as “Dooley’s Den”, named for the unofficial mascot of Emory University, a science class skeleton from the late 1800’s.
