Empty block space filled

Hi, all! I had an empty space to fill on the “wrong side of the tracks”. It’s the rear of a residential city block in Rice Lake, WI. between a wharehouse and the Farmer’s Coop.

I built the rear of the houses using a block of 2x4 and styrene for sale signs. the fence is florist wire and toule. It’s not a highly detailed craftsman scene, but I think it looks pretty good and it IS supposed to be the background.[:)]

Looks good [Y]

Sure does ! [bow]

Great filler! I’m saving this one in my “idea” box. I’ll credit you, of course… [;)]

Good Job. [tup]

Wow, an easy way to inspire me to fill in an area that has been sitting empty.

Thanks for the pictures.

Looks good! I will surely be ‘borrowing’ some of that for my layout, as most of it is relatively narrow benchwork and there isn’t room to build full structures everywhere. At one point the tracks on the prototype run through the backs of two rows of houses, so the backdrop side will look very much liek what you did there.

That looks a lot better than my lawn. What seed and fertilizer are you using?

You just blew next year’s April Fool’s article - they were going to show how to build a giant static grass dispenser, and get static grass delivered by the truckload, so you could green up your lawn.

Thanks for the nice comments , guys! the lawn is just ground foam, Mr. B.
