Engine House Hobbies. Bravo!

Hi all. A few months ago I went to Wichita, KS on a business trip. While there I went to a really cool LHS called Engine House Hobbies. These folks were a pleasure to talk to and have an incredible retail store. Anyway, this past week, we needed some detail parts (in a bad way, some of them unavailable locally) and needed them quickly. The quickly part took a few options off the table when it came to where I’d order them. A quick call to EHH put me in touch with the items I was looking for and, the man on the other end of the line, Shawn, told me he’d get them out Priority Mail that morning! Needless to say, the order arrived as promised and I’m a happy camper. I believe in giving credit where it’s due, Thanks Shawn and Engine House Hobbies!!!

Hey guys. The EHH web site I linked above is great too. You can search for a specific road name/scale. The search can be done only for instock items if you wish. Pretty cool!

Hey I know EHS is a very nice store and a very friendly enviroment since i live about 70 miles away i make it there about 5-8 times a year, i also have ordered several items over the mail.
My favorite hobby shop

Cool site, grandeman…thanks for the hint. I may have to order something, just to give them a try!!!

You’ll be glad you did. Ya’ll know that I usually don’t plug anyone’s business here, but these folks are top notch and make the hobby that much more enjoyable. I just thought that is commendable. We’ve all read negative posts about different suppliers, how about some positive comments for a change? [8D]

grande man,
You are right on. We in Wichita are fortunate to have this store and the folks who run it. These guys remember your name and bend over backwards to help out. It’s a joy to work with a quality outfit like this one.

Thanks for the input Toby. I wish we had a shop like EHH around here. I’ll be ordering from them in the future though. They are great folks.

Gonna add these guys to my list of shops to check out when it is time to order something. I think it is just as important for us to report to everyone when we’ve received excellent service as it is to warn of potential problems. No, I changed my mind. It is more important for us to report the good guys!!

I’m spoiled; there are two excellent MRR-specific hobbyshops in my region - M.B Klein and Peach Creek Shops. Check 'em out, if you ever find yourself in Maryland!
