engine identification

hi gang, another question. first off, i do not have a digital camera. I have an engine with no manufacturer id on it,on which i want to add kadee couplers. The only things i know about it are: (1) it was made in yugoslavia, and it has what looks like (3) triangles in a triangular pattern. (2) the coupler pocket is formed by a tongue on the truck, and a tongue on the frame. can anybody help in i.d.,and if so, what coupler?

Steam or Diesel ?

It sounds to me like an old AHM model. That company has been out of business for many, many years. I have no idea what coupler may fit because I don’t have any. AHM became IHC and then went out of business.

Check Kadee’s web site if you can get a better ID of your locomotive and see if they have a recommended replacement.

sorry,it is a diesel. i think maybe a gp7.

thanks cacole: i may have just accidentally identified it as an emd gp18. appreciate your time and effort. radar: phx.,az.
