Engine in Coors Ad

I was watching the early game on Fox today and saw an ad with a steam loco running through a stadium. I don’t have TIVO so I wasn’t able to back it up and identify the engine. I didn’t even get a good look at the wheel set as it appeared to be fully streamlined. Does anyone have an idea what Coors is using for their model in the ad? I’m just curious.

I saw that ad too[:)]. I don’t think it was based on any particular prototype. In fact, the whole train looks like it was computer generated. It looks like a long string of beer cans!

At first I though maybe it was based on the CB&Q’s Aelous which might have run into Denver on some occasion when the DZ’s diesels broke down. But it has a pointed rather than shovel nose. NYC also had a few stainless streamlined Hudsons, so maybe that was the inspiration.

Since it’s a computer simulation, it probably also uses cold fusion to produce cold steam from beer.

A streamlined Hudson makes sense in terms of reality. Since it is a computer generated fantasy model, how about a streamlined Challenger?[:D]

My first thought was of a stream lined NYC Hudson
