I think it would have been nice to include any type of structure, but this adds a shade of skill to the contest as you now have to research a little and actually think about what you want to build. I am a first time entrant into this contest, having never been able to enter into a scratchbuilding/kitbashing contest before, and yet I am nearly done with my entry into this contest. I hope to achieve something from this, even if IS only some new skills (read, confidence) and a building to use on my future layout…
their are in between structures that the railroad gets materials for the rail road exclusivly like ballast loaders.
are those in the contest too?
Geez, Fellas! The rules are stated quite plainly. Yes, it might be nice if other types of structures were included … but they’re not! For this contest the rules call for a Trackside Structure. So this time, build to the published rules or wait for a subsequent contest … maybe it will be more to your liking.
