Aaaaaah…my favorite railroad film! [:D] A true classic Our Gang short, complete with canine locomotion!
Too good…what a hoot.
That was a gas! Now, just how am I gonna recreate that cool home-made train in O gauge?
Or maybe MTH will do one!
I’ve been wondering about that myself for years!
Ever seen this one? Gerbils on a train? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km6eRnEz0wk
If I took an N gauge 4 wheel steam loco…
Can’t be hard. Use the model supplies (in O gauge) that are the counterparts of the stuff the kids actually used – old automobile parts, boards, pipes, water heaters and the like. I’ll see about making up Proto-Sound or Tsunami sound sets with appropriate barking, cat hysterics, squeaks, and door slams, if someone helps me map the digital codes so they are appropriate. I have not decided whether a crank from the main axle or a solenoid is more important to model the feline trying to escape periodically via the firehole.
I distinctly remember John Allen having a ride-on railroad on the Gorre & Daphetid (the locomotive and probably at least some of the cars being those little models you could get – if very lucky – from one of those 25-cent coin machines). And that was in HO…
Excuse me while I pick myself up off the floor…
