Good morning all. Yesterday I spent a few hours at Eola Yard watching the action and noticed right away that there was a newly installed foundation for some sort of an addition to the yard office there. The additioan will be closer to the main than the existing offices and looks like it will about double the space the offices currently have. So far only the foundation has been poured and nothing else. Some of the guys speculated that this may be a crew “layover” spot with bunks, kitchens, etc. and others speculated that the yard is getting busier thus additional office space is needed.
Anybody know anything about this addition? Thanks.[:)]
If you have seen the size of the foundation you would understand why I say, WOW that will be one heck of a large locker room and shower. I also wonder why the locker and shower room would be closer to the mains (and with a better view of them from windows) than the offices…seems the terminal manager and his staff would need better views of the mains than crews taking showers (unless they all just came from seeing “Brokeback Mountain”)[;)]
