Eolafan's Eastern Where Is It?

Here’s one from my days (long ago) out on the East Coast:

This town has always had only one railroad through it.

A minor amount of freight (normally at night) and lots of passengers.

A modest little depot.

South of the northernmost extension of third rail electrification.

Former home town of Johnnie Carson when The Tonight Show was broadcast from Manhattan.

This very small town (about one sqare mile in area) has among the highest per capita incomes in the U.S.

What town am I?

Dover Plains?

NO, not Dover Plains. The last time I was out East, Dover Plains was the next to the last northernmost stop and was way past the Third Rail territory and was served by diesel-electric hauled trains (when I was there I still saw a few FL9 units). Hint for you all, the town I am speaking of is about 50 (or so) miles south of Dover Plains and well into third rail tettitory.

Wow, from the lack of guesses I am concluding that this one was a bit of a toughie…here is another hint…this is actually a village and its name includes that of one of the New York City bouroughs.

Okay,I’ll take a big guess, (SWAG) and say Bronxville!

Greenwich Villiage?

The only thing comming to my mind is White Plains, NY?

DING, DING, DING, we have a winner from Louisville…YES, it is Bronxville, N.Y.
