Epoxy to attach piano wire to caboose hobbies ground throw 202s?

I want to replace the plastic peg in a caboose hobbies 202s ground throw. I watched a YT video where a modeler had done this very thing but did not identify which 5 minute epoxy he used. Anyone have a suggestion which epoxy to use. Link to the video is shown below.

J-B Qwik Weld. It is great for such purposes.

My guess is that was the 2-part epoxy used by that modeler in the YouTube video.

You have to work fairly quickly because it begins to harden quickly .

I use it all the time.

thanks Rich!

they make a J-B Weld plastic mite be what Rich is talking about I have used it on American flyer engines the lead trucks screws brake the plastic filled the hole with J-B let setup drilled out a new hole worked like a champ, this is also a two part epoxy work fast

Yeah J-B Weld is the longer cure variant of J-B Qwik Weld.

The Qwik version sets in less than 5 minutes, whereas the other version sets overnight.

It would be much easier to enlarge the hole in the throw bar to accept the Caboose Industries pin. I would not depend on glue to hold a small wire in the Derlin ground throw.
If I had to replace the pin I would drill and tap the ground throw for a 00-90 screw. That may still be larger than the Atlas hole. The threads that extended below the throw bar could be filed off to fit the Atlas hole.

Mark, you make a good point. I didn’t tell the full backstory. I have used 218S GT’s in the past and felt that the 202S might be an easier install but have no prior experience with that model. Of course, I plan on test fitting the original peg mount and making my own assessment. I thought the video was interesting and presented by an experienced MR’er with an alternative mounting approach. Shrug, no firm plans on my final approach. I do appreciate your input!
