Equinox Shunting Puzzle in MR magazine....

Hi all,

I tried to do a search on the forums as I believe this has had to come up before, however, there is a user who has the name equinox and he seems to be a fairly prolific poster!.

Due to this, I am going to ask if any of you remember, (yes, I am dating myself here) the issue of MR that had the Equinox puzzle in it. I cannot remember (at my age memory isn’t cheap and it only runs at 66 mHz!), nor can I dig through all of equinox’s posts. (No offense, equinox!)

I would like to add it to a virtual layout I am building in Trainz2006 that currently includes both the Timesaver and the Inglenook puzzles.

A scan of the pages, an issue number and date, anything would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,
cdirto

I believe that Equinox was not published as a separate puzzle but was part of the “Sagatukett River RR”. I’ll verify this tonight.

Model Railroader, March 1972, page 60.

The article also published in Track Planning Ideas from Model Railroader, also on page 60.

Texas Zephyr,

Thanks for the dates, I’ll hit the library up for a copy! Boy, I sure hope they have it!

I have a few “Puzzles” in my pile. I dont have a scanner =(

The prototypical like switching puzzles that MR used to publish in years back were really awesome, just wonder if they plan to publish any more of those?

Kalmbach could… could… gather up all the switching puzzles and bind them into one book similar to others that they have created for the hobby. (“Guide to Operation” comes to mind) A switching puzzle book would be very helpful.

Safety Valve,

Do me a favor, Please. Email me at cdirto@yahoo.com.

I would like to talk with you about getting copies of all your puzzles. I play with the Trainz game software and I also have 3rd PlanIt RRCAD. What I am going to do is build a virtual layout of nothing but puzzles!

The more puzzles I can get my hands on, the larger the layout will be!

Thanks,
cdirto
