Erie, PA train show Sunday 3/1/09

Folks:

Just a heads-up: the Erie model train show is Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 at Rainbow Gardens. It’s a pretty good little show. $4 adults, $3 students and seniors, under 12 free.

Rainbow Gardens is a hall on the grounds of Waldameer Park, an old-style amusement park in Erie. The Rainbow Gardens entrance is at the intersection of W 6th St and W 8th St. There’s a big sign at the entrance.

From I-90, take Rt 832 North, turn left and go west on Alt 5 a quarter mile, and there it is.

Hours are Sunday Nov. 2 from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The show is sponsored by the Elk Valley Model RR Club. Contact Carl Amidon if you have any questions: CAmidon987@aol.com

Autobus Prime,

Not sure if the dates are wrong on your add or if you are confusing this with November. Having lived on W 26th in DrErie about eight years ago I can tell you that November is the month when the lake starts to freeze up. March is the month that it starts to thaw. If I was on that end of the state still I would try to make it to the show, but DrErie is now a 5 hour drive.
