Bachman 4-8-2 J class Heavy Mtn couldn’t get enough juice to run on clubs DC layout. Once I got it home it was either derailing with lead trucks or trailing trucks.
PCM-Blueline 2-10-4 T1 Tender front truck kept derailing grumbles (I need to check the wheel gauge as I just got it last week.)
Rivirossi 2-6-6-6 H8 lead truck kept derailing and drawbar tongue to tender kept coming undone…
I was 0 for 3 at the club with 28"+ curves. Some I couldn’t even get out of the yard! Truely frustrating.
I had another in a long string of weekends where nothing is running, but that’s because I have no time for trains right now! Really depressing! It’s going to last at least another six weeks, too![:(]
Were you the only one having these problems? It sounds weird that everything you threw at the club layout had issues…unless the issue was with the club layout itself. It seems to me the problem lies with the layout.
Most definately!! I have those days now and then when everything I put on the tracks give trouble, Sometimes I think the loco will derail just sitting on the tracks with no power applied. I can leave them alone and come back the next day and everything runs perfectly. On the other hand, Ever have one of those days where everything you put on the track runs perfectly, unless there are spectators around. Darn Grimlens!. Mike
