Maybe they could acquire what’s left of the H&BTM in Huntingdon to eventually run this locomotive on home rails!?

Rode behind No.38 on the last day of operation. The locomotive derailed at a downgrade to a trestle, and the crew joined the birds. The engineer observed “If she was going out there she was going without me!”.
Fortunately she stopped in a welter of sheared off track bolts. Fan trips in 1954 were really informal and I rode on the tank of the tender and later on the pilot. Apparently no company lawyers were present.

Saw it again later at Rail City, which was on the Eastern (NOT Western) shore of Lake Ontario.
