Evergreen Scale Models

Does anyone have a new website address for Evergreen Scale Models? Whenever I try the last web address (Evergreenscalemodels.com), I get a “Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)” error message.[:(]

Try this web page, think it has what your looking for. http://www.modelretailer.com/en/The%20Industry/Industry%20News/2012/05/CORRECTION%20New%20owner%20for%20Evergreen%20Scale%20Models.aspx

I have no information, and I can’t get to their web page either, but the company was sold earlier this year and this may be related to the transition to new ownership.

This is a link to the MR page about the sale:

I can’t find a website either but every indication is that they are very much a going concern – sometimes the canary in the coal mine for fading model railroad firms is when the Walthers online catalog shows things not available and no shipping or expected date listed, but I just looked and the stuff is either in stock or some new shipping dates are listed for out of stock stuff. So that is a good sign that Evergreen is alive and well. What with their huge product line and most of it shown on the Walthers site anyway maybe they have decided running their own website makes little economic sense

I sort of agree with you Dave but, on the other hand, not everyone consults Walthers and a web site is still critical to a company’s success in this day and age. I always look to a web site as my primary source of information if there is a web site.

If they are anywhere along the northeast coast they may have suffered a prolonged power outage or significant storm damage…

Seems the site is back up and working now. Yeah.

They are on the other coast. The website is active and is: http://www.evergreenscalemodels.com/.

This being the age of technology, I think that sometimes we need to wait a day or so before we panic about some major business problem.

I wasn’t panicking, I was just asking if anyone had another web address. Sometimes, companies update their web pages to new addresses. I’ve had old links that didn’t work for other companies where this has happened, and it was usually because the company had changed theirs.

All right, Marlon, take a deep breath, quit panicking! [(-D]

Sorry if you took this the wrong way. I did say we, not a personal you. I only mentioned this because a week or two ago there was a thread after the hurricane where folks seemed to think that Atlas was flooded because their website was down, and there have been several other examples in the near past where a website has been down for whatever reason prompting the “what does anyone know about…” question.
