Evergreen Styrene

What size styrene should I get when I want the thinnest one that is about the same size as paper 8x11". Would it be i.e (1 x 2 .011x.022, 0,3x0,6 8102) http://www.evergreenscalemodels.com/Strips.htm

From http://www.paper-paper.com/weight.html Some eamples of Bond paper thickness:

20 pound = .0038 inch, 24 pound = .0048 inch, 54 pound = .009 inche, 67 pound = 0.10 inch, 72 pound = 0.11 inch.

The thinnest Evergreen Styrene sheet is .005 inch thick, which is .002 inch thicker than 24 pound paper.

The thinnest styrene strip is .010 inch thick which is equal to 67 pound paper.

The HO scale 1x2 is .011 inch thick which is equal to 72 pound paper

I’m not sure I understand. Do you want the THICKNESS of a piece of paper, or the dimensions (8 1/2 x 11)?

Because if you want the thickness, why not use cardstock instead of styrene for your project?

Styrene is definitely thicker. I meant the thickness and the dimensions too i.e 8x11 Which piece of styrene shoulkd I get that has dimensions closest to paper?

Styrene sheet sizes 6x12, 11x14, 12x12 and 8x21

Then you want the thinnest size, 0.005", which comes in 6 x 12 sheets.

Or you can get 0.010" thick, and get it in 11" x 14", which you can trim to sixe, but it would be much thicker.

Perhaps if we knew what you were trying to do, and why you want styrene sheets in this particular size and thickness, we could help you with alternatives.
