Excuses to avoid doing MR stuff

Riogrande5761 and kasskaboose,

You guys are too serious!![swg] I believe the thread was posted in order to add some levity to these rough times. Given the current state of affairs, anything that will make us smile is worth the effort.

Respectfully,

Dave

Hey, that is a great idea. I will get right on that!

My prescription for you:

Less news, more fresh air. No charge. [(-D]

What do you mean I have to go to work.
I should probably pay the electric bill eventually.
I think I need better light To see this. Should wait for the sun to appear.
(Next day). Too much sun light. I will wait til later so I can see it better.

anniversery. Hhhmmm. Guess I better go do something about that. This structure will have to wait

Or maybe I’ve had circumstances that stood in the way of building a layout for so many years that I have a hard time relating to needing an excuse to NOT work on a layout! [:P] I suppose if I were like some of the rest of you, the humor wouldn’t have been lost on me. Cut me some slack and a little empathy puh leez. [:X]

Yeah, this one gets in the way a lot. I think about retirement, but every two weeks they give me a little bag of money and I keep going back. I think I might be addicted.

Robert

Robert, if it’s not a chore or a bore, and you actually still look forward to getting to work most days, it’s probably not time yet. On the other hand, you don’t want to overstay your body’s welcome. When it wears out, where will you live? The time to retire is when the work is no longer fulfilling and when you begin to feel resentment, anger, dread.

Hobbies can always wait. Just not forever.

We want to move closer to wife’s work. No, too expensive. Start planning layout. Wait, opportunity rising - stop layout. Nope, Covid changed that one.

riogrande5761,

I’m sorry if I offended you. That was absolutely not my intent. I apologise.

Dave

The cat wants pets, my buddy wants to get a drink, and my model train budget just got depleted
