Exterior renovation completed on Pullman ‘Dover Harbor’
‘Dover Harbor’ looks beautiful like it is fresh from the Pullman factory.
However, the most obvious deviation is the diaphragms. Rubber tubing is used instead of the canvassed construction with metal ribs and fronted with crash plates attached to the carbody with elliptical springs.
Great car - nice job DC Chapter.
For those that want to ride the Dover Harbor, in June it is operating a trip to and from the NRHS convention in Rutland, Vermont. While there, it will be a part of three charter trips over various parts of today’s Vermont Rail System. Check out the DC Chapter’s website for the long moves and the NRHS website for tickets for the convention trips (a few tickets are still available).
Texan PEV,
Fresh from the Pullman Works?
Were the 1923 trucks roller bearing axle equipped?
If you want to ignore the HEP receptacles, that’s OK.
