I received a Micro-Trains boxcar for a Christmas gift. In the package is 4 extra wheelsets. There’s nothing in the packaging to indicate the purpose of these extra wheels. Does anyone know their purpose?
they are low profile wheelsets, you will need to swap them out if you have Code 55 track.
Ahhh, thank you for enlightening me. My old eyes couldn’t see the difference without a magnifying glass. Isn’t that nice of Micro-Trains? They’ve got the best quality cars, they put Magne-matic couplers on them (even if they are truck-mounted) and now they include low profile wheels.
