Last night I strung a bunch of telephone poles with Berkshire Junction EZ line and CA glue. While this is a good product I think it’s just the same elastic that is used in socks. So I am thinking that at 12 cents a foot it is expensive. Just wondering if anyone knows a cheaper source of thin elastic thread.
Check any fabric store, or even Wal-mart’s sewing notions area. Elastic thread should be relatively easy to find, but it may not be the correct color or diameter for what you need.
Color is not really an issue. I used a Sharpie to recolor the line. Thickness varies a lot around here so I will need a few rolls.

I looked in fabric stores and I could never find any elastic thread that was thin enough. I’ve been very happy with my EZ Line and think it is worth the price. I run operating sessions where people have to reach between EZ line rigging in the logging areas and it always snaps back without damage.
Thanks,
Marty
The thickness of wires various a lot in my area. So perhaps some combination of thread with ex line might work.
