I am trying to copy the paint job of the Milw. F40C. I need to know what the back of the unit looked like.I have not been able to find any pictures of the back. Any info you guys could give me would help.

I have a slide taken of F40C 41 “City of Elgin” at Franklin Park, Illinois on 9 August 1978, front and rear. Being a slide, I can’t scan it, but here’s a description of the rear end paint configuration: It’s basically bands of blue, silver/grey, and white that match the blue roof, the stainless steel panels and the white banding on the sides. There is no built-out rear platform as found on other EMD cowl units, just a small platform with no handrails. Grab irons go up the rear to the left of the door. Hope this helps!
