F40PH Ideas

I just got a new Amtrak Phase III F40PHR and I am looking for any ideas for a new prototypical paint scheme for it. I have googled and googled but have only found Amtrak and some commuter paint schemes. I will take any ideas on how to spruce it up.

Thanks

How about Rock Island?

Or Ohio Railway Supply?

I just happened to have a spare Kato F40 that I’m going to paint up in a fooby Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railway scheme for a friend. It will be patterned something like this:

Nice. Is FLNX 418 like a leaser or something?

I guess if you have Googled and Googled, you’ve seen just about everything that I have seen.

Here’s a CN used on the Agawa Canyon tours.

Here’s a VIA

This is my favorite AMTRAK scheme,

I guess you’ll just have to look around.

I read the only difference from the R and the regular F40PH is internal stuff, so nothing that shows, other than possibly the fuel tanl.

Something similar. I believe it is the reporting marks used for the Mad River and NKP Museum in Bellevue Ohio. They use those markings for moving equipment and private cars. All railroads require ULMER reporting marks and those letters were chosed by one of the directors of the Museum.

I believe they were recently used for the move of the NKP 757 from Pennsylvania to Bellevue:

The options are limitless!

It’s nice to see those old F-40’s still being used.

Back when I ran 'em, they all said “Amtrak” – boring!

Here’s another idea for an F40PH. CSX Office Car train

How about the Grand Canyon Railway?

They call their’s F40FH because they have been regeared.

That’s a neat train Maxman.

After a recent inventory check, I don’t believe how many these I have aquired. Mostly Bachmann Spectrum, but also a couple of Walthers.

The spectrum models aren’t the easiest to convert to DCC because of the split frame thing. I haven’t done any of them yet!

I knew about the VIA but I did not know that CN owned one. Thanks!

MicroTrains should get on that ASAP!
