Thank you, Greg Vreeland, for repairing and running these units. The F and E series were the best looking diesels to come out of EMD and, I dare say, the best looking engines of the diesel era. I am very grateful that they are being allowed to earn their keep all these years after they were built. Thanks again.

I love those F’s. I agree George. No other diesel ever looked as strong and mighty.

They look like FP7s, to me.

Lets see this in print in Trains!

Don’t repainted until they need it. Patch and re-number if you must but please leave them be.

I’d like to say Thank You to Greg Vreeland, also.
Mr. Hays, I believe you’re right ! It makes sense since they’ve been used extensively in passenger service.
I’m glad that they’re not in any hurry to repaint them as they are still looking ’ real good ’ !!

The “Follow the Flag” livery looks great! When they need repaint, the faux-GN scheme would be appropriate, methinks.

F Units rule! Great paint scheme!

Great that WGN was able to get that contract to operate the Hayward branch, I’m sure the extra revenue really helps. Awesome F Units to!

Rode behind the F’s on the Columbia Star dinner Train, plan on ridding behind them again in Wisconsin.
