Facia Question

I’m at the point where I can add a facia to my 2x8 foot layout. What materials do you guys recomend? I would like to buy all the material for under $30. Thanks!

Thick masonite, 1/4" if you can get it. I see double foam so my way of attaching will not work as you will need to glue it at top, mine is on 1x4 with foam on top so I was able to just pin nail mine.

Menards has 2x4 sheets for $4 a peice. Thanks I think I will go that route!

Masonite is needed particularly if you have to curve it. Your benchwork is squared off. Could use masonite.

You could use 1 x 8’s (looks pretty tall) if you could find a way to fasten it to the foam. My benchwork is also squared off, not as tall, so I use 1x4’s cut at 45 degrees for a clean corner.

MDF, hardboard, doorskin, thin cabinate grade ply…any of those are suitable, but the cost defines the utilit.

No, the finish will be different, thats why I use masonite, nice clean crisp edges and patch holes with spackle.
