i have a general idea for my layout, late 50s era with santa fe line running through a crescent shaped mountain with a tressle and waterfall. i am also looking for suggestions on where to get things and what is the best way to go about developing a layout. i am mainly looking for ideas and places to look. i am also looking to build a model of dealey plaza in 1963. oh and one more thing, please help me on how to build structures. thanks and i will keep you updated.
Get the book Track Planning for Realistic Operation by John Armstrong available from Kalmbach. For structures, start with some easy plastic ones like Atlas has. You can enhance these by painting them. Later on, move on to wood structures.
